As an update to our Spring baseball season, we have extended the suspension of all practices and games through April 12. This means that the earliest that practices would resume would be the week of April 12, and the earliest that games would begin would be Saturday, April 18. We are following closely the recommendations by our government officials as well as the PONY Baseball and Softball organization. Currently, here is where we stand:
- Fort Bend County has issued a Stay at Home order that currently is in effect through April 3, 2020
- Fort Bend ISD and Alief ISD have both suspended classroom teaching through April 10, 2020
- PONY Baseball and Softball currently recommends suspension of practices and games until April 6 for their leagues
As we all have figured out by now, no one really knows how long this virus will affect our normal day-to-day activities, and there is a very good chance that the Stay at Home order could be extended further. We will be monitoring the recommendations and restrictions by the government, and will update you if anything changes. If you have any questions or concerns you can email us at [email protected], or you can call Scott Lester, the MPPB president, at 281-844-5317.
