Coming in the Spring: Newly Renovated Baseball Fields!

What is the status of the large baseball field?
Now that construction on Meadows Elementary School is complete, the field is no longer closed due to construction. However, work still needs to be done to bring the field back to a playable condition. The City of Meadows Place voted to devote $150,000 toward getting the baseball field back to a playable condition.

What work is being done on the large field?
One of the illumination poles that was removed during construction was replaced. In addition, all of the lights on the field were upgraded to LED. The outfield fence will be replaced. The infield will be completely rehabilitated, and the outfield will be top dressed with soil to remove any ruts and low spots.

When will the work on the large field be complete?
It is anticipated that the work on the large field will be completed before the start of the Spring 2022 baseball season.

What work is currently being done on the small field?
MPPB renovated the infield of the small field. We will fully move back to that field for the Spring 2022 baseball season.

Where are the Mustang and Bronco divisions going to play their games?

The plan is for the Mustang and Bronco divisions to play their games on the large field for the Spring 2022 baseball season.

Is there enough room for a field at that location?
Yes. While we will have a short right field due to a hill near the lake, there is enough room for a 190 ft center field and up to 220 ft in left field.

Anything else I need to know?
This has been a long two years for our league as we try to get through this ordeal. We hope that by the start of the Spring 2022 baseball season that we will have two newly renovated baseball fields to play on.
